As we know in the UK, a Letterhead for any business is a must, it not only introduces your company it really can leave a lasting impression. The majority of the time, letterheads are used as an introduction, or when a demand is required or even as just a straight forward thank you, a letterhead delivers on all fronts. However, not all letterheads re created equal, there are things to consider prior to going to print which we will cover here:
Layout
Traditionally the layout of your letterhead comprises of the recipients details on the left top of the page with your details to the right, this is commonly classed as the standard layout, however these days there is a lot of variance as the uk is almost “Americanized” on pretty much every aspect of life and some business people have adopted a different lay out, but in truth, what layout works for you, works!
Font and content
Perhaps the most acceptable font would be times new roman, this is traditionally used on the majority of letterheads , however trying Arial or myriad produces a great effect and adds individuality to your letterhead, black ink is always your best bet, its not advisable to use green or red!
Type of Paper:
The standard paper for letterheads is 100Gsm Matt, however some use premium papers others don’t, it you want a more solid paper try 120Gsm Bond.
Summary:
A letterhead can literally make or break a companies image, bear in mind the points covered here and you cant go wrong. Dont forget leaflet printing!
